"OUR NATION SHOULD LIVE WELL WITHOUT HUNGER, WITHOUT BEING SICK"

Hwajeong Gwangho Hahn, the former CEO of SG HANKOOK SAMGONG was born in Harbin, China, in 1927. He came South Korea over the border alone after independence of our country in 1945. After witnessing starving people he thought ‘I hope all people in our nation to live well without hunger’, ‘I hope our nation not to be sick’. After Korean War(6.25), he worked as a clerk in chemical drug store in Cheonggyecheon, Seoul and had a dream to make the country a rich agricultural one thru the food production increase and remove the spring poverty. Therefore, he founded Baiksu Pharmaceutical company in 1960 and pesticide company HANKOOK SAMGONG in 1968, and Korea-Germany joint venture, Korea Boehringer Ingelheim in 1976, and then pesticide synthesizing company, Seohan Chemicals in 1979, and he realized his dreams, one by one.
